The Universe in symphony

Sounds fill up the universe
Is it a cacophony or symphony?

I hear the music of the tide
The kid’s laughter
The monk’s chant
The widow’s wailing
The long lost and just found giggle of lovers
The cow’s call for the lost calf
And the baby’s cry
To express its desire
Without words.

The universe is filed
With mosaic notes and nodes
Of Beethoven
Kitaro,
Yanni
Ravishankar
Sounds from every corner of Africa
And the sound of the Andes.

The chanting of the sages of the East
And the mullah’s prayer
Mingle with
Gregorian chants
The gossip of the home bound birds
The crackle of the bridal fall
The sigh of the exhausted train engine
The crashing of the trapped wind
In the pine needles
And bamboo branches

The heart beat of the lovers
In deep embrace reverberates
The wishes of a lonely cricket on the wall
And the desire of the frogs and dogs in heat

I and my breath
And the vibration of my heart
Become one with
The crashing waves of the ocean
And sand storm of desert landscapes
To become the primal sound of the creation.
