Seasons of Her Heart
I saw the raindrops forming in her eyes
The clouds swarming in fury
On her throbbing cheeks
The lightning sparks glowing
And then the dead silence
Before the storm broke loose
Tears fell like monsoon rain
As the dam broke
The swells from the heart
Wanted to swallow the shore in deep throbs.
And it did.
I did not run away
Wanted to get drenched in the rain
Held her hands
Put her head to my heart
And listened to her riptides of emotion
The thunder became the soft wailing
And the raindrops trickled slowly
On her shining cheeks.
Before it dried
I wanted to wipe it softly
And I did.
I talked to her
Kissed her softly
Told her that
The rainy days will be over.
Have faith and
Have patience
And she did.
The sun shined
The rainbows danced
In her glistening eyes
The colors serenaded
In her long lush hair.
Jasmine flowers sparkled
Between her deep red rosy lips
She danced like a wild butterfly
Running after the May flowers
Before they weather away
I wanted to save the moment in my heart
And I did.
Suddenly
There was deep silence
Deep frost of the winter covered her face
All the flowers died
All the sunshine surrendered to the snowstorms
As she remembered the bad days
The days when her wishes were just wishes
Her prayers remained unanswered
Every body betrayed her
I felt her chill in my bones
So cold, so aloof
Like the houses separated on a snowstorm
I was there
To give her warmth
By pulling her to my chest and consoling her
To forget those by gone days
And she did.
Sizzling like lava from the mount Vesuvius
Desire erupted from her bosoms
From her red lips
From the corner of her beautiful blue eyes
From her red shoes and red skirts
From her red-hot nail polish
It danced
And taunted me
Come on
Come on
I wanted to get burnt like the fireflies
Attracted to the open flame
I wanted to jump in it
And I did.
