Descent of Man
Once I came down from my office on the 100th floor,
From the Manhattan million dollar apartment
Came out of the Porsche
Stopped controlling the camera on the Mars explorer
Stopped gazing at the networks inside my cells
I saw
No, I failed to see
The life as it is
Buzzing under fallen leaves in the woods
On the tree branches
In the cracks around the middle dividers
As soon as I descended from the luxury jet
And then from the palace on wheels
Life was communicating with me
Without msn and iphone.
With crippled fingers
One eye, without legs
Without a shower
It was begging
Let me live one more day.
Descent of a man
Or is it the ascent after all
That converted a prince to a Buddha,
Who got illuminated
With no help from Edison.
