Modern Living

Raindrops wanted to fall my head
But I was inside a car
Driving
Every thing away
To be safe, secure and healthy
Because of my insurance will
Go through the roof.

The pine pollens
Did not smear my face
The grass flowers on the meadow
Did not touch my feet
The wild mustard plants
The dandelions
All were forbidden
To come near me

The singing stream of water
The cows grazing in the meadows
The autumn leaves
Spring flowers
In the woods
Remain stranger to me
Because I am too busy
Living.

I got annoyed at the birds
Chirping so early in the morning
Gossiping or
Showering their babies with
Love and breakfast
Before going out.

I go annoyed
Because I came late from work
Lots of rush rush
Ate a TV dinner
And slept on the couch
To be ready again
For the run again
And as I go and grow old
The creation
All around me
Icons of life
Icons of wonderland
Stay alien to me
Away from me
The connection is only
When I am underground
Still separated
