Echelon
Stairs I climb
Sometimes even I crawl up slowly
To see the life at the next level
Experience the agonies of taking decision
In the lap of luxury and of affluence
Trying to decide which shoes and
Which dress to wear?
Which car to drive
And which wine to drink tonight.
At the bottom of the stair
The boy with a single garment
No shoe, little food to eat
In a place with no road, no shoe
And no place to sleep
No need for confusion.
We are all human
But don’t live in the same world
A vertical existence
With impenetrable walls
