What Am I Doing Here

When a Person becomes a Body

When does the life begin?

Path of no return

Then the winter receded to the cave
To hibernate until next year
The flower buds that were waiting
For so long
Through out the winter
Let every thing loose
Like a bunch of school kids
After the final exam.

Then the flowers will rule the world
For a while
And give baton to the leaves
Until they disappear
With the last laugh of colors.
To give way to the winter

I look at the childhood photos of my
Teenager kids
And see the babies
See their toothless smile
See the past again
As if they are still hiding
In their grown up bodies
Like layers of onions

I look at my face in the mirror
The changing face
The changing body
But only travel in a one way street
Me and my kids and their kids
The winter never gives back
The baton to the spring
