Castaway by Choice
I was a castaway to begin with
Brought to an alien world
Labeled with a name
I did not chose
Cared by the people
I did not know
But lived on their mercy, love and fear.
Should I be?
A color fish in an aquarium
A caged bird
Fed and trained to sing
With no fear or hassle
But a bird with clipped wings
Like all around me.
I would rather be a castaway
Welcoming
Whatever
Whomever
Crosses my path
And let me flow like a rivulet
From the faraway place
To an end undefined
And in the process
Writing the book of my life
Then
I will be a traveler of chances
Randomness reincarnated
But you never know
May be it is
All in my destiny
After all!
