Shakyamuni’s Dance

To the sounds of eternity
You dance
Above the clouds
Well beyond the reach of the
Old age, disease and death

To the sounds of emptiness
You dance
With the pleasure of not having any thing
But the lap of the mother earth

To the sounds of life
You dance
The life bonding the creatures
Of all types
Of all shapes of forms
Revolving in the cycle
Of birth and death
But enjoying it.

To the sounds of humanity
You dance
Paying homage
To the world within you and me
Vast and mysterious like
The oceans and the space

To the sounds of eternity
You dance
Subliming the frailty and decadence
Of the body,
Making it an instrument
To grasp the eternity
Through the fleeting moments.
