The Land of Endearment
From the lap of silence of midnight
I took a leap to the land of love
To the domain of life
To the heaven on earth.
I took a walk on a white sandy beach
And looked at the clouds
Transformed with the light of the setting sun
A feeling of wonder
Exuberance and love
Dissolved me
And made me a part of
The distant star
And the fleas on the decaying fish on the sand
The magic wand of beauty
And belonging
Made me see through the mask of
Shapes, size, colors and cults
Races, species and genera
And time and space disappeared
Forever.
Only thing I could see
Was the bare throbbing heart
Of an innocent child
In all of them
Filled with lots of love
To share and care
To give and give more
To touch to some one
And be touched
To pollinate the flowers
within all shells
Of existence
I felt the lament
Of the lonely languishing heart
Longing to belong
I also felt the joy of belonging
Across all barriers
There I was alone
But not lonely
In the land of endearment.
