The Story of a Candle Light

What happens?
When a fire bug runs
To embrace the candle light
With all its love in its heart?
The wings caught fire
And it turns it into a tiny colored gold fish
Caught in the net of its own making.
Looking wistfully
To the distant flame
But there is nothing but water around it
Surrounded by glass
To keep it safe
At the same time
Away from all the fun of
Realizing what it is
To be close to the flame
Close to the warmth of
Having the day of your life
I would rather be flying to the flame
Touch it, feel it
Even if I lose my wings
It is still better than
Being a goldfish in an aquarium.

Hence, my love
Be ignited
Be alive
To accept the fire bug
Softly, tenderly
And live until it dies.
